Who was Irma?
The story behind the nameOur story
Three generations, one house.
From Irma and Johann to today — told in four chapters.
Stone by stone
1956–1959Irma and Johann built this house with endless hard work and all their heart. By day, Irma shaped the bricks herself; after work, Johann built it up stone by stone. On 19 September 1959, the family moved in with their four children.
In good hands
1992–2023In 1992, their eldest son Hermann inherited the house and lovingly renovated it in 1994. He cared for his parents’ home devotedly until his mother Irma passed away in 2023 — Johann had already died in 2005.
The third generation
2024–2025Hermann handed the house over to his son Alexander. Together with his wife Sabrina and their daughter Mona, he thoroughly renovated the house from November 2024 to December 2025, stripping it right back to the bare walls.
A warm welcome
TodayToday, Irmas Ferienhäusl stands for a family tradition that is still very much alive, for genuine care and for hospitality. We are delighted to carry on the legacy of this special home — and to welcome you as our guests, in the spirit of Irma and Johann, who were known for their warmth and openness.
